This design studio focuses on ‘place-making’ for urban communities, emphasizing architecture that responds to urban contexts. The module involves a studio exercise dealing with urban blocks in dense environments, exploring responsive design through a narrative approach. The goal is to create an architectural design that aligns with the urban character, addressing both tangible and intangible aspects. The project requires engaging with urban studies, concept development, and designing a scheme that enhances the spirit of place and community life.
HERITAGE CONSERVATION: THEORIES, PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE
This module provided a practical understanding of key principles, theories, and methods of heritage conservation documentation. It emphasized the importance of preserving cultural and architectural heritage and developed awareness of various conservation approaches for buildings and landscapes.
