[ ARCHITECTURE FOR PLACE-MAKING ]
My design took into consideration a holistic application of structural, spatial, technical, environmental, services, and legislative requirements to meet the user needs for an Urban Heritage Gallery. I focused on tropical design, effective lighting, and creating a coherent language for the façade and building envelope that aligned with the overall design scheme.

REFLECTION:
Designing a five-story Urban Heritage Gallery in a tight urban space was a new and challenging experience for me. This project taught me the complexities of designing in a constrained urban environment and how to integrate various design elements into a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution.
PROJECT 1B
[ ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STRATEGY ]
We were tasked with designing an Urban Heritage Gallery in Pudu within its urban context. My design incorporated architectural responses that addressed the unique aspects of the urban street context, ensuring the gallery was both reflective of and integrated into its surroundings.

REFLECTION:
Through this project, I learned to design within an urban context by exploring different approaches. Working on the Urban Heritage Gallery in Pudu, I developed skills in creating architecture that responds to and enhances the unique urban street context. This experience highlighted the importance of thoughtful design in integrating new buildings into their surroundings.
PROJECT 1A
[ PRELIMINARY STUDIES - TOWNSCAPE APPRAISAL ]
We have evaluated the character, identity, and uniqueness of Pudu. I identified opportunities for creating responsive architectural designs that enhance urban contexts and contribute to place-making. We have demonstrated proficiency in fundamental urban design principles by analyzing the ‘content’ of the urban context within a given site and applying my insights to propose thoughtful, contextually integrated design solutions.

REFLECTION:
I've learned the fundamentals of urban design, focusing on analyzing and responding to the unique characteristics of urban environments. I developed skills in evaluating the physical, social, and cultural aspects of urban contexts, allowing me to create design solutions that enhance the sense of place and community within a specific site.
